Following last year's roadblock Woodbridge Festival weekend, and a full year of blockbuster events, New Street Market and WFAM team up for another mega party over the festival's flagship week.
Coinciding with the festival's annual event in the park, expect a night of all vinyl DJ sets and projections mixing cutting edge beats, art and film. With the line-up yet to be announced, to give a flavour, last year saw famed film actor and DJ Ben Miles, and UK funk pioneer Les Spaine join residents DJ Ben Osborne and VJ Girl I A T-Shirt.
Ben Osborne’s music and cross platform arts career is immersed in grass roots creativity and included DJing clubs and festival’s internationally, writing two books on music, including his best selling Arctic Monkey’s autobiography, and being an award winning and pioneering creative producer. He DJs iconic places from Stonebridge Stage Glastonbury to BT Tower for the Olympics. Described as a ‘polymath’ by Time Out, Ben’s also presented radio shows for Xfm, NME Radio and Slack City Radio.
VJ Girl In A T-Shirt, AKA artist Alice Stallard, is a First Light Festival commissioned artist with many years delivering barrier-breaking art in both educational and community art settings. Her clients include Tate Britain, Waterloo Carnival Arts, Gate Curate and the South Bank Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre. Her recent work includes large scale, site-specific commissions for the Ackerman Studios and Daisy Green Collection. She's currently chair of Woodbridge Festival of Arts and Music.
