23 July – 30 August 2026
New Street market’s inaugural Summer Exhibition brings together an exciting and eclectic collection of works by both emerging local talent and established artists.
Drawing inspiration from the RA's long-standing tradition of exhibiting works by artists at every stage of their careers, the Summer Exhibition at New Street Market celebrates diversity in style, medium and perspective. Visitors can expect an engaging mix of contemporary works alongside pieces by recognised artists, creating an exhibition that is both accessible and inspiring. Many of the artists included also have work in this year's exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.
"We wanted to create something that captures the excitement and inclusivity of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition while celebrating the incredible artistic community we have here in Suffolk," says the exhibition organiser. "By bringing together local artists alongside more established names, we're creating an opportunity for visitors to discover new work, support independent artists and enjoy art in a relaxed and welcoming setting."
Some of the artworks are available to purchase, offering collectors and first-time buyers the chance to take home original pieces while directly supporting the artists behind them.
Located in the heart of Woodbridge, New Street Market has become a destination for independent makers, food, design and creativity. The Summer Exhibition continues this ethos, encouraging visitors to explore art in an informal setting while enjoying everything the market has to offer.
Whether you're a seasoned collector, an occasional gallery-goer or simply looking for inspiration during a summer day out, the New Street Market Summer Exhibition has something for everyone.
