This Valentine’s Day, why not treat yourself to a day of self love and care where you will have the chance to unwind, destress and set some wonderful intentions for 2026 with no pressure or influence from anyone other than yourself?

Yoga teacher, Emma Khangaroot and ex-journalist and mental health expert, Clair Orton, have teamed up to create a fun and relaxing day of yoga, journalling and face massage which will offer a unique chance to self soothe and prepare for the year ahead! It’s the perfect  opportunity to gift yourself some truly special ‘me time’. Or why not use it as a Galentine’s Day experience and share it with your bestie?

Emma’s family are of Indian heritage and so yoga has always been an integral part of her life from her earliest years.

“If we had something like a tummy ache growing up, my mum would always suggest a yoga pose that would help and it did. So yoga was just a way of life for us and it has always been a part of my life - one of the best parts in fact!”, said Emma.

After a varied professional career, Emma decided to train to become a yoga teacher in 2019 because she wanted to share the benefits that yoga had brought to her, her children and her overall wellbeing. Since qualifying as a yoga teacher in 2019,  Emma has built up a fantastic reputation within Suffolk teaching yoga to all kinds of people including regular open classes at Vida Haus and The Sprat Shed in Woodbridge, to teachers at various primary and secondary schools in Ipswich and lawyers at Barker Gotelee also in Ipswich. She has also helped refugees who have sought sanctuary in Suffolk find much needed peace and calm through regular practice. Yoga is her passion and one which she can’t wait to share with those attending The Serenity Sessions.

Practising yoga since her early twenties, Clair has attended classes with Emma since they were first on offer! Having spent most her working life as a journalist and public relations executive in the health, beauty and wellness sector,  Clair has spent the last five years working in mental health and is a registered Mental Health First Aid England trainer. She trains staff from organisations across the country to be Mental Health First Aiders and offers open training sessions once a month in Needham Market, Suffolk.

She said: "Sometime ago a lot of people I worked with started talking about the benefits of journalling in terms of improving their mental health so I used my writing background, together with my mental health expertise, to create bespoke mental health journalling workshops which have been hugely popular and beneficial to all sorts of people."

So, if you fancy recharging your batteries and treating yourself to a day of self care then there is a special Early Bird Price of £115 and thereafter it will be £125.

The day will start with an invigorating feel good yoga flow, followed by a session of journaling for mental wellbeing before a delicious lunch. After lunch there’s the chance to learn and practise the art of Gua Sha self facial massage which is great for detoxing and promoting a feel good glow. The day concludes with a gentle yoga flow offering a fusion of yin with yoga nidra - perfect for sealing a day that is the ultimate in terms of self nurturing and love. All food and drink including, lunch and refreshments, is provided along with a goody bag that includes a journal, Gua Sha stone and eye mask.
