Following the success of his Chandigarh talk earlier this year, Ian Macready of Architourian returns to Woodbridge to enlighten us on the work of Finnish architect Alvar Aalto who died fifty years ago. With a reputation that has never been higher, Aalto's brand of humanist, organic modernism still has an enormous amount to teach the latest generation of architects and design enthusiasts.
Ian Macready will look at the legacy and work of the three Aaltos - Alvar, Aino, his first wife, and Elissa his second wife who ran the Aalto studio.
