Immerse yourself in the world of improvisation!
This improv course for beginners is the perfect introduction to the creative art of acting without a script.
No previous acting or improv experience needed - just bring your curiosity and join us in playing scenes, characters and stories.
Over five Sunday mornings you’ll explore playfulness, creative expression, spontaneity, and confidence, while sharpening your listening and collaboration skills.
Along the way you’ll meet like-minded people in a supportive, friendly environment. Fair warning: improv is highly addictive!
Why improv?
Improv isn’t just about laughs—it’s a powerful tool for self-expression and growth.
This short course will help you let go of perfectionism and self-doubt so you can spend more time laughing, connecting and creating in the here & now.
It’s not stand-up: you won’t be asked to perform solo or told to “be funny.” Improv is about listening, collaboration, being present, and turning “mistakes” into gifts by generously supporting each other.
Who is it for?
We welcome anyone looking for a safe, fun and supportive place to try something new.
Our style of improv is playful, joyful, mindful and hopeful, drawing from both improv comedy and unscripted theatre.
There’s no performance at the end—this is just for the lucky people in the room where it happens!
What we'll explore together
- Listening and being present
- Letting go and sharing control
- Patience and generosity
- Trusting your impulses
- Embracing mistakes as gifts
- Daring to be obvious
- Making your partner look good
